PRAISE & WORSHIP - continued

Go BACK

Participation – In order to be an active, on-going member of the worship team (including instrumentalists, choir and multi-media technicians), a person must adhere to the following guidelines:

Live a life of obedience to His Word. Maintain your relationship with the Lord.
Regular attendance to services and practices is required. In the event that you are absent more than you are present, you will be placed in an inactive state. You will be reinstated at the discretion of the worship leader and/or Pastor.
Be involved in church life at ETRM (i.e. services, revival services, giving, other gatherings, etc…) Leaving service after praise and worship will not be an option, except in the case of an emergency.
Be a leader of worship, not only on the platform, but practice worship as a lifestyle.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

“Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Ephesians 4:11

Attitude, Support and Speech – Each member of the worship team is expected to:

Maintain positive attitudes and speech concerning the church as a whole and the worship team specifically.
Be supportive of all ministries at ETRM. Realize that we are all part of one body unveiling the glory of the head, Christ Jesus.
• Bring any complaint directly to the worship leader without stirring up controversy and strife among others. If this does not solve the problem, the worship team member and the worship leader will meet with Pastor.
Build good relationships with the other worship members and resolve conflicts in a biblical manner.
Strive to be an example of godliness, displaying and cultivating the fruit of the Spirit.

“ Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” Colossians 4:6 amp

“ Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper]. Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]. And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony]. And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.” Colossians 3:12-16 amp

.................................

Time Commitments – Each member is required to attend the following:

On your scheduled Sunday: Rehearsal from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Intercessory Prayer: From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning
Monthly Saturday practices to learn new music. If you are unable to attend due to conflicts with your work schedule, please get with the worship leader to find out which songs we went over, and be faithful to learn them and be prepared to sing them.

Times are subject to change at the discretion of Pastor or the worship leader.

Other practice times are on a T.B.A. schedule (i.e. revivals, special services, meetings, conference, etc….)

Worship team members must be in the sanctuary ready to participate at designated times. This means everyone (especially musicians) should arrive at church early enough to have your instrument ready on time. Lateness is understood, but excessive lateness will result in being moved to an inactive member status.
